Experiment § Development of lithographic varnish

The principle of lithographic printing: the printing plate is mounted on the cylinder on the printing machine, and the water roller is rolled over the printing plate to attach moisture to the rough part (or non-graphic part) of the printing plate. Then roll over the printing plate with an ink roller, and only attach the ink to the smooth part of the printing plate (or called the graphic part). If this image is directly transferred to the paper, the read image is produced, but the paper will be wet. The current method is to roll over the surface of the printing plate with a roller covered with a blanket, which can squeeze out the water and transfer the ink. (Blanket is flexible and can better transfer images.) The roller rolls over the paper to transfer the ink onto the paper. Because the image is first transferred to the blanket cylinder, this process is also called "offset printing." In English, the word offset printing means a transfer, which means that a process by which the image is first transferred to paper. The lithographic ink varnish must overcome the following elements: water and ink balance, fast-drying, no inkjet, no wire drawing, no smoke, and good adhesion. These are all issues to be considered. First of all, how to choose oligomer and monomer to test the flying ink and drawing conditions, record the severity, and judge which combination is better by grade. The ink balance is based on the proportion of fountain solution and ink. Mix and stir to observe the emulsification situation. Adhesion is coated with a thin ink on the plastic sheet. After UV irradiation, the 100 grid test can know whether it is good or bad. This product has been tested layer by layer and tested on a lithographic machine, and it has met customer requirements. Activity § Tidy game

The stereotype of ordinary people about chemical factories is that they are dirty, sticky, and messy. We were in this image a few years ago. Everwide Chemical has been working hard to promote the concept of environmental cleanliness from the crowded and cramped old laboratory to the spacious and comfortable new factory. There is a tidy game once a week, and everyone will work together to keep the environment clean and tidy. Routine cleaning twice a year is a general mobilization of all people to clean all factory corners together. The cleaning of the external walls of the building, the wiping of the windows, the grooves and crevices of the steel beams of the factory, we have left traces of uncompromising nature. Although dust will still accumulate in every corner after the wind and sun, we hold the heart of maintaining the environment together and strive to clean the company to the cleanest!

Knowledge § Reaction mechanism of epoxy resin and mercaptan

As shown in the figure above, the unshared electron pairs on the tertiary amine will first deprive the thiols of the active hydrogen, causing the sulfur atoms to be negatively charged, and react with the α carbon atoms on the epoxy resin, causing the epoxy resin to open the ring. The reaction produces a new hydroxyl group at the same time. Since the reaction speed of negatively charged sulfur to epoxy resin is tens of thousands times faster than negatively charged oxygen, the combination of epoxy resin and mercaptans is often used as a fast-reaction formula, for example, five minutes of hardening for two-component epoxy resin adhesives. Its hardeners are often mercaptan compounds.

Living § Globe making (1)

Yizhen's dad's part-time job is as a badminton coach after work. This weekend we will play badminton in the badminton hall of the Yunlin Tuku Special Education School. Because the subject is the ball, badminton is made of feathers. He doesn't look the same as a ball. But generally called balls are mostly circular. There are many spherical objects around us, so this month's experiment content, I want to introduce the blue planet, the earth, which is closely related to human beings. I checked the information online and consulted some extracurricular books. I found that the earth is a beautiful blue planet. Recently, the rich have a crazy plan. They make an appointment to be a man in the sky, and they want to take a spaceship to outer space to see the complete picture of the beautiful earth. Although the price is not low, about 400 million Taiwan dollars the human life is only a few decades, and there are too few people who can have this kind of honor. The theme of this month is earth model making. I fell in love with the earth because a while ago, a customer asked me to blister the upper and lower hemispheres of the earth into a plastic film using the IMD-in-mold decoration (note) method. What I did was the post-hardening outer coating layer. Although the case was unsuccessful (the positioning problem of latitude and longitude), it interested me in making a globe by myself. It just so happens that the customer has produced Christmas art products, they have round hard plastic shell materials, so I asked the customer for 30 plastic balls to prepare for today's theme. First of all, I ask the children to use their imagination: ask them to introduce to the aliens where they live? There is no standard answer; let them imagine wildly. And what I want to express is the concept of introducing the solar system.

Note: IMD-in-mold decoration: In-mold decoration molding technology generally refers to the method of in-mold engineering, in which decorative materials (film, cloth or leather, etc.) are built into the mold to achieve the purpose of completing the decorative plastic part in one shot. Mainly used in mobile phone cases, laptop cases or home appliances, etc.
