Experiment § Filling resin for insulating plugs and connecting plugs
There are many types of insulating materials, and infusion molding with epoxy resin is one of them. The problem often encountered with this method is that the resin will shrink during the curing process, and the surface is often not flat and smooth after molding and demolding (left image). In addition, the formed plug must withstand high voltage, high torque, thermal shock, and other tests. These conditions depend on the selection and deployment of resins, curing agents, fillers, etc. to meet the above requirements. Since the plug is a spare part of heavy electrical equipment, in the use of raw materials, the variable cost of material cost and time (process time, price) has an advantage over competitors. Moreover, most of the heavy power industry uses machine filling, and the resin must be able to cooperate with the filling machine (viscosity, stability). In the use of the finished product, the tightness with the components can reduce unnecessary troubles caused by dust adhesion, etc., so it needs to be accurate in size (low shrinkage, smooth), and withstand the force (torque force) during disassembly and assembly, and at the same time more important that there is no corona (electric resistance) at high voltages. All of the above requirements can be met by NA978.
1. A process can be completed within four hours.
2. The viscosity is lower than 10000 cps at 70℃.
3. Bright surface. (right figure).
4. The voltage can reach 40KV without corona.
5. The torque pounds exceed 110 pounds.
6. The price and delivery time are more advantageous than foreign rubber materials, etc.

Character close-up § Precision production in small batches
Many small and diverse precision chemicals may only be produced in a batch of a few kilograms, so they are all done in the laboratory and the whole world is the same. In Everwide, early production work of this kind was done part-time by R&D personnel. However, with the increase in business volume, the number of samples increases, and the demand for small batch production surges, causing a heavy burden on R&D colleagues. In order to solve this problem, we specially set up a small batch production department, with full-time production staff to handle related work. After several years, the scale of "small" batch production has been "larger" than originally expected. Independent production equipment, laboratory production environment, a huge number of production runs, and rigorous production attitude have all made the professional image of small batch production highly affirmed, and it has also become a feature of Everwide Chemical.

Knowledge § What are the concerns when the irradiation energy of UV glue (acrylic system) is insufficient?
When the UV glue of the acrylic system is insufficient in irradiation energy, a lot of acrylic monomers will remain in the UV glue. These residual monomers will initially act as plasticizers in UV adhesives, resulting in low hardness, insufficient strength, high water absorption, and poor ring test performance. As the use time increases, these monomers will gradually volatilize, causing the colloid to gradually become hard and unstable in physical properties. More examples point out that these monomers may diffuse into plastic substrates, causing cracks in these plastics (eg PC, Acrylates, etc.). Therefore, it is necessary to avoid the occurrence of the insufficient irradiation energy.
Living § Why develop the IMD industry?-My long R&D road (2)
Everwide Chemical has always been very invested in the production of glue. A few years ago, Hanli Optoelectronics OLED sealant (organic light-emitting diode packaging sealant) was a very difficult glue to produce, because everyone was very optimistic about the display industry in those years, so everyone hopes to make a flat panel display with the advantages of thin surface-emitting, the high luminous efficiency of self-emitting, and low driving voltage. If the sealant is not good enough to allow moisture to enter the display, the organic light-emitting diode will not light up and reduce the service life. At that time, Japan had a process patent, and 1 catties of sealant sold for a sky-high price of NT$320,000. When the customer wanted to study a better packaging method, they discovered that we developed this set of sealants. We wrote a new patent and actively developed it. In more than a year, it has set a record of sending samples more than 200 times and finally overcame all difficulties to successfully produce OLED sealant and stable shipments for more than two years. However, in this industry, the bottleneck of the internal component process is too high and the R&D cost is too expensive, causing Taiwanese display manufacturers to withdraw from the market one after another. Although the project at that time may not have allowed the company to have a good turnover, it gave Everide Chemical the courage to challenge foreign famous plastics. Taiwanese have a fate, that is, they often think that they can't make the best products. The same is true of baseball, which we are proud of. During the game, the Taiwanese have no determination to fight for the first place. But this is not the case with Koreans and Japanese. Their nationality is very strong, so they often make explosive progress. Of course, I often think about my own destiny. The big ink manufacturers all over the world can't make well extended UV inks. What advantages do a small and medium-sized enterprise like me have? In this speech, I sincerely share my research and development process with you. Although I have been failing all the time, I have found what I am good at, so I will start with my expertise, and I will do an extended three-dimensional texture glue is on the plastic sheet (maybe the Japanese have already made it). But for me, who is not a professional printing ink factory, to overcome the characteristics of transparency, three-dimensional, smooth, defoaming, sticking, shaking, etc., I really spent a lot of time. If the customer wants to print a three-dimensional surface and the plastic sheet needs to be extended, this set of extendable three-dimensional UV glue is a good choice. Recently, we have also actively cooperated with the industry to make positive printing texture glue. The exquisite optical texture makes the laptop and mobile phone case have different appearances. It uses another way of turning the film, not the traditional screen printing, but a method of turning the film by laser, which expresses the optical texture on the surface of the plastic sheet, so that the plastic sheet has a good touch. Its feature is that the three-dimensional texture is made on the front, replacing the traditional bright surface Hard Coating layer. The texture of this layer made of UV glue must overcome the balance of hardness and extensibility, and at the same time overcome the harshness of solvent resistance. Research and development is a never-ending exploration. If I add lithography to it, will there be a more beautiful pattern and texture? Shanshui Printing Co., Ltd. cooperated with us to develop the method of positive printing three-dimensional textures. When I saw this for the first time I am deeply moved by the products. Such a huge IMD industry may not be able to make great breakthroughs with my little power alone, but if everyone in this industry works selflessly to develop and research this market, everyone can get the greatest benefits together. As a junior like me, with a passion for research and development, I hope everyone can provide more assistance to create a win-win situation.
