Experiment § The Magnetic Whirlpool Jet Adhesive
Most magnetic whirlpool jet devices used in modern Spa chairs adopt a ductless design, which can generate a vortex in the pedicure basin without requiring ducts (Figure 1). We developed an adhesive specifically for this device in response to customer requests. The materials of customer workpieces are PP and ABS, and the adhesive is mainly used to fill PP parts and bond ABS parts. The product must have low viscosity and good fluidity and maintain waterproof performance at 60°C. To enhance the waterproofing effect, anti-settling mica powder and waterproof protective coating powder are added to the formula. Since the workpiece will be immersed in warm water during use, relevant experiments were conducted. We apply the adhesive on the workpiece, harden it, soak it in water, and put it in an oven at 60°C for 7 days, and then conduct an ABS test piece tensile strength test to check the stability of the adhesive strength. Activity § Bronze Medal Award of TTQS
Since 2010, we have introduced the Taiwan Training Quality System (TTQS), which has passed the threshold in previous evaluation. This year, we won the bronze medal for the first time. Through the management of TTQS, training needs can be analyzed, course content planned more effectively, and learning results can be tracked to ensure that employee development is consistent with the company's business objectives. We will optimize education and training based on the suggestions of professional teachers to help colleagues continue to grow in professional knowledge and skills and to create greater value for the company and customers.
Knowledge § What is PU hot melt adhesive?
PU hot melt adhesive is a crystalline thermoplastic polymer. The crystals will melt when the temperature rises, and higher temperatures will cause the hot melt adhesive to flow significantly. PU hot melt adhesive takes on a liquid state when melted at high temperature and is coated on the material's surface to be bonded. This resin crystallizes during cooling, quickly providing bonding strength. There is a key point in using PU hot melt adhesive. When the resin is applied to the object's surface to be adhered to, it must still have considerable fluidity and be able to wet the material's surface. If the cooling is too fast, the viscosity increases too quickly, or crystallization occurs too early, the resin will not wet the adherend well, and the adhesion will be greatly reduced.

On the second day of the camp, teacher Chen Kunlong demonstrated several experiments. The students used the principle of electrochemical etching to design personalized totem coffee steel cups. Another experiment introduces acid-base indicators, and the acid-base changes can be known by observing the color changes. What color does turmeric liquid turn when it meets soda water? The students stamped their hands soaked in soda water on turmeric paper, and the zombie's bright red blood handprints appeared. In the afternoon, the course came to stress detection and polarizer teaching aid design. We put the plastic petri dish or plastic ruler in the stress tester, and we can see the rainbow pattern caused by uneven stress at the injection point of the plastic. Students placed the object to be tested between two pieces of polarizing film, and they could still see rainbow patterns. The students made polarizing teaching aids by hand at the end of this course. On the third day, we invited two retired teachers from Huwei High School, Chen Jinxing and Luo Rongyu. Teacher Chen demonstrated gases, common atmospheric pressure, gas volume, gas expansion and contraction, and other phenomena. At the finale, master teacher Luo Rongyu demonstrated the water pontoon. High voltage caused extremely polar water molecules to form a +-+-+-... arrangement. Because the intermolecular attraction (hydrogen bonding) is so strong, it can overcome its gravity and form a water-floating bridge; if there are impurities in the water, most of the electricity will pass through the conductive ions, and only arcs can be formed between the cups, but no water pontoons can be formed. Therefore, high water purity is the key to the experiment's success. Other courses include hand-made epoxy resin pendants, pressure-sensitive adhesive bonding force rolling ball experiments, and tensile testing conducted by company researchers. The three-day experimental course was very fulfilling.
