Experiment § Photo curing resin for PVC and OPP films

OPP (Oriented Polypropylene) film is a uniaxially stretched polypropylene film. After stretching, the film has high tensile strength, high impact strength, toughness, and good transparency and can be used as a protective layer on product packaging bags, transparent tape stickers, etc. Bonding with OPP is difficult because it has hydrophobicity, chemical resistance, low polarity, and low surface energy. We have developed a solvent-free UV-curable GC403 series, which has good adhesion effects on various ink layers, PVC, and OPP films (Figure 1). The GC403 series can form a colloid that bonds with the upper and lower layers after the substrate and OPP film are bonded and cured by UV irradiation (UV energy 150~300 mJ/cm2). By JIS Z 0237 standards, the adhesion strength of resin on PVC substrate, ink, and OPP film is tested. The results show that the bonding strength of the GC403 series is greater than the strength of the OPP film itself (Figure 2). The test results were consistent after the ink was transferred from the PVC substrate to the OPP film (Figure 3). Activity § Create SOP and energy diagnosis

The second energy-saving step is for consultants to help Everwide establish various SOP documents. The "Organizational Issues Identification Form" has been completed, and common procedures have been modified, including measurement management, production facilities, and work environment management procedures. After an energy review, Everwide has 25 pieces of major equipment. The electric power consultant conducted an "energy-saving diagnosis factory visit." The itinerary included operation instructions and discussions on the measurement locations of major energy-consuming equipment, the on-site measurement of equipment energy consumption using professional instruments, summarizing the measurement results, and providing improvement suggestions. Knowledge § What is antifouling paint?

There are many sources of pollution in daily life, such as exhaust gas, oil, dust, rain, coffee juice, children's graffiti, and even your sweat and fingerprints, etc., which may cause pollution to the paint. The principle of antifouling paint is to put fluorine or siloxane additives into the paint. When the paint is cured, these additives will appear on the surface. Since the surface tension of these ingredients is very low, it will be difficult for the dirty ingredients to wet the paint's surface, forming a large water drop angle on the paint's surface so that it can be easily wiped off. In addition to being used in civil construction, these paints can often be found in daily life in 3C products, plastic casings, optical glass, etc.

Living § Everwide Chemistry camp (1)

From September 10th to 12th this year, Everwide held the second Chemistry camp, "Everwide FUN Magic." Participants included children of employees, students from Douliu High School, students from Shiliu Junior High School, and students from the Boyo Social Welfare Foundation. The three-day activity combines STEAM learning to allow students to experience experimental operations. Experiments include glue preparation, adhesion testing, and actual operation of testing instruments. On the first day of the event, a factory tour was arranged to allow students to visit the production line, learn about the glue production process, and then understand their parents' work. The course introduces "Franklin's Life." The United States' founding fathers were full of talent. He was not only a printer, publisher, scientist, and inventor but also a writer, military strategist, and politician. Historically, he led the United States to break away from the British colonies. He also made many scientific inventions, including hand paddles for swimming, Franklin fireplaces, Franklin clocks, Franklin motors, urinary catheters, bifocal glasses, etc. He theoretically defined the concepts of positive and negative electricity in electricity, the single-fluid theory, and the famous kite experiment. The current installation of lightning rods in high-rise buildings to avoid the risk of being struck by lightning was developed from the kite experiment. On the first day of activities, everyone was very focused on learning and began integrating into the world of electrical magic.
