Experiment § Low water vapor penetration resins
Many applications require resins with low moisture permeability, such as electronic components, flat panel displays, and medical equipment. We have developed a one-component epoxy resin JE080 with a viscosity of about 9,000cps and curing at 70℃/60 min. It has excellent operability and low water vapor penetration. We measure the water vapor transmission rate of resin in accordance with the JIS Z 0208 standard of Japanese Industrial Standards. First, heat and cure the JE080 to form a film with a thickness of about 200 mm. Then cover the diaphragm in a fixture containing calcium chloride, and place it at 60°C/90RH for experimentation (Figure 1-5).Please refer to the bi-weekly report No. 65 for the detailed production method of the test piece. Adding inorganic powder to the resin can increase the water vapor penetration path and reduce the water vapor penetration rate. Originally, the water vapor transmission rate of the powder without addition was about 21mg/cm2*24hr, but after addition, it decreased to 13mg/cm2*24hr.Welcome to contact us if you are interested.

Activity § Student visits are endless fun
This year, many schools have arranged to visit Everwide, from universities, high schools, junior high schools, and elementary schools. We arranged an introduction to the manufacturing process and product application so that students can understand the actual use of the resin (Figure 1). Resin is very abstract to most students. After viewing the exhibition room, they will find that these materials can be seen everywhere in life. In addition to the static visits, we added simple handcrafts to the activities to make the students have a deeper impression (Pictures 2, 3). In the end, the rewards are the culmination of the whole activity, reviewing the fresh knowledge learned today (Figure 4, 5). There were visits and actual operations, and the responses from the students were very enthusiastic. Colleagues are also honored to be able to contribute to society.
Knowledge § Student visits are endless fun
PU (Polyurethane) is formed by the reaction of prepolymer and polyol, and its end contains an isocyanate structure, which is highly reactive, toxic, and easily reacts with moisture, which causes problems in use. If the prepolymer is reacted with a Blocking agent and Blocked PU will be formed. Blocked PU is very stable. It will not cure when put together with polyols, and will not react with moisture in the air. It can also be mixed with a solvent to form a stable solution. The pre-polymer of Blocked PU will deblock at a certain high temperature and will re-run the structure of isocyanate to form a network structure with polyol. It can also react with aliphatic amines at room temperature to release the dosing agent and form a network structure. The advantage of Blocked PU is stability and non-toxicity. However, compared with ordinary PU, there are some disadvantages: high material cost, slow response, heating required, and poor adhesive strength.
Living § Accept the you in the past and love the you in the present
[You will be good: Accept the You in the Past and Love the You in the Present]. The title of the book attracted me and gave me deeper thinking about people and all things. Among them, the view that impressed me was that "a person's growth is often not supported in good times, but in getting to know oneself better in adversity." This sentence made me re-examine my state: if someone criticized or said hurting me in the past, I would have great sadness in my heart and would criticize and attack myself again with words and feel that I was incapable or unqualified. It must be because I didn't do a good job, causing my life to be full of negative emotions. This book gave me a lot of inspiration. It turns out that listening to your inner voice, affirming yourself, and slowly establishing the appearance of liking yourself, these are the most important. This experience made me fall in love with reading. I can find inner peace through it and enjoy the moments of being alone with myself. Finally, I recommend the book "You, will be good: Accept the You in the Past and Love the You in the Present" to friends who feel confused in life. Maybe you don't need to know how beautiful the world is, but you still like yourself after facing your own shortcomings. Life is the same as the movement of the sun and the moon, there are day and night, seeing your own advantages and accepting your dark side can see a new and beautiful world.
