Experiment § Acrylic structural adhesive

Polyamide, commonly known as nylon, is a crystalline thermoplastic material and is widely used in applications that can resistant to high temperature, impact, and stress. The crystalline character of nylon makes it difficult to bond, especially with the room temperature curing adhesive, that effect is usually not very well. Recently we have developed room temperature curing acrylic structural adhesive KA005. It has several features: (1) After mixing and bonding with the PA substrate and tested after 1 day. The shear strength can reach 44 Kgf/cm2. The surface of the test piece shows coagulation fracture (Figure 1); (2) With many surfaces inert materials, such as PP, no surface treatment is required, and Primer is not required to have good results. (3) Take the bonding test piece for the tensile strength test. When many types of test pieces are torn, the bonding area is still intact, indicating that the bonding strength is greater than the strength of the material itself (Figure 2-3). Figure 4 demonstrates that KA005 has excellent shear strength without surface treatment when applied to plastic materials, including PP, TPO, and other LSE (Low surface energy) plastics. We will utilize the same type of glue to glass, metal... and other materials. You are welcome to contact us.

Activity § First aid education and training

Following current occupational safety and health-related regulations, to provide employees with a safe work environment, the company needs to deploy emergency personnel and conduct related retraining every three years. Everwide currently has over 150 employees and more than 10 first-aid personnel. There is also an AED (Automatic External Electrode Device) in the factory. We hope that when an emergency occurs, we can quickly do proper response and treatment for patients during the golden window. In addition to arranging professional nurses and physicians to provide on-site health services in the factory every month, we also invite professionals from time to time to teach colleagues the correct first aid knowledge. In the course, practical exercises will be conducted to strengthen proficiency, including CPR, Hamlick method, and AED usage methods... Learning practical rescue methods and techniques and maintaining a moderate sense of crisis can immediately save your precious lives.

Knowledge § Timing of living polymerization

Light-curing epoxy resin will produce cations when exposed to light, which will lead to a curing reaction. The life of these ions are last two or three days, and they can continue to react when the light is stopped, enhance the features of the cured product. This feature is called live polymerization, but not all formulas are obvious. For some soft formulas, the Tg after exposure curing is not high, the ions can diffuse at a considerable speed, and the reaction rate will gradually increase; some formulas have a Tg after exposure of about 80℃, and the diffusion rate of ions at room temperature is very low. Living polymerization not very obvious, and so heat curing is necessary to further increase the reaction rate; some formulas have a more solid structure, with a fully reacted Tg as high as 150°C, and post-curing temperature is even higher. In summary, the cationic polymerization of the light-curing system will have the characteristics of living polymerization, but the level of reaction is related to the resin structure and reaction conditions.

Living § Talk with someone!

"Maybe you should find someone to talk to." The author is a psychological counselor. She jokes herself as an editor because she helped patients re-edit their life stories during the consultation session. The book shared about the experience of loss, life and death, the censure of oneself... and so on. It is both realistic and intriguing. These protagonists have some things in common. In the beginning, they all hope to make their lives better by changing others. However, they don't know that to change others, all must start with themselves before they can turn the deadlock around. Having said that, the comfort zone is still remarkably hard to resist. Not many people have the brave to change when changes occur. Even though most people know that leaving their comfort zone is good for them, because of old habits or worry, they are hesitant to move forward. The American writer in the book, James Baldwin, said: "Nothing is more desirable than being out of pain, and nothing is more frightening than dropping a crutch." If you want to have a rich life, you must experience it as challenging as dropping a crutch. Breakthrough the barriers. How should we face these obstacles? There is a short story in the book that is worth sharing: "A prisoner trapped in prison desperately shook the bars in front of him, but didn't know that the door beside him was already opened." Sometimes we get stuck in the quagmire of problems and we don't realize that the answer is right beside us. The author believes that "maybe you should have a chat with someone." Chatting can reorganize your thoughts and think about what you can adjust by listening to different opinions. If you are confused about life, this book can bring you different perceptions.
