Experiment § Acrylic Optical Resin for improved Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) visibility

The acrylic optical resin can fill the gap between the LCD panel and the transparent protective layer. Many LCD panels have a 0.5mm~1mm wide gap between the transparent protective layer. This air gap assists the LCD panel to provide additional "impact protection" properties. However, the refractive index from the protective layer to the LCD panel has a significant difference in the air gap. At the same time, the light from outside and backlight is reflected at air gap interface. It will create scattering, reduce brightness and contrast, and cause other problems.

The thickness of the filled optical resin only needs 0.1mm to alleviate external shock, which is more conducive to developing thin and light panels than the 1mm air gap.

The acrylic optical resin fills the gap between the liquid crystal display (LCD) panel and the transparent protective layer, improving the display contrast. Compared with the traditional method of using air gaps, this acrylic optical resin can achieve 1. Improve brightness; 2. Prevent backlight; 3. Suppress light scattering; 4. Improve visibility; 5. Shock absorption, etc. The acrylic optical resin formed by the rapid reaction of ultraviolet light irradiation has relatively stable strength high light transmittance. It has super softness (shore 00 = 1~10), cold and heat shock resistance, and anti-yellowing properties.

Knowledge § Why does epoxy resin crystallize?

The commonly used epoxy resin (DGEBA, EEW=190) should be a crystalline solid at room temperature with a melting point of around 45°C. Usually, these resins appear to be clear liquids because they are in a supercooled state and crystallize very slowly, sometimes taking months to stand for crystallization. The higher the storage temperature, the lower the driving force for thermodynamic crystallization and the less likely crystallization is. When the resin is placed at a very low temperature, the crystallization speed will become very slow due to the increase in the viscosity of the resin, and it is not easy to crystallize.

When the resin is in an environment of 10°C, the crystallization rate is the fastest. The lower the chlorine content of the resin, the narrower the molecular weight distribution, and the higher the purity, the easier it is to crystallize.

 

Living § Suzhou Exhibition Experience

With trepidation, I followed Wen-chao to start this exhibition itinerary. Before the trip, he had received education and training and visited the Taipei International Electronics Show. He saw and heard the harmony among colleagues and exciting events during the exhibition. There were also the good intentions of the university principal. To bring a world view to everyone in Everwide, he worked hard to act as a commentator and a host. The role of technical communication. I am sucking the fruit of the former's efforts to prepare for the Suzhou exhibition, and I know that the company will spend a lot of money participating in the show. How to play the role of an exhibitor? Adhering to the support of my colleagues and the efforts to participate in the exhibition, I must try my best to tell customers about the growth of Everwide and how to control production and product development.

On the second day after arriving on the mainland, we met with Chang-jin and Yun-xian and arrived at our destination Suzhou. Along the way, new constructions and buildings stood on the vast new road, showing our efforts towards modernization. On the afternoon of the third day, I went to the exhibition venue to introduce and describe the Taipei International Electronics Show. I put the required items in the display cabinet. From a messy scene to a neatly drawn exhibition, I admired it a lot. Welcome to the electronic exhibition that starts the next day. Many traders came to discuss the application of products and explore how to trade. After four days, there are not many applications for the products that the client is responsible for. Most of the visiting customers asked about the company's brand. We strive to promote the company's product applications and industries, communicate with the visitors at the exhibition, and then visit other companies' products and introductions to strengthen our introduction to the company's future. To highlight the company's products, this time we prepared the introduction of bicycles, brightening films, diffusion films, and IMDs, which made people feel a lot closer and let customers understand their manufacturing processes and applications; the large rainbow picture and bicycle posters emphasized green and environmental protection also shows the company's intentions in this regard. Although there are few visitors, it allows customers to fully understand the application of Everwide in glue and new product research and development and has close communication with traders and customers so that the visiting customers know the brand of Everwide.

Explaining the complementarity of the work from the exhibition allowed me to understand the company's application and industry better. We continue to develop new products to meet the market's needs and not be eliminated. It is the reality of the industry. As the senior said, the customers you know at the exhibition may be your future customers. The attraction is that customers want to know more knowledge and dig more experience values ​​from us, which means we work harder than others. Place, but also for their growth. There are many people to thank during the eight days before and after the exhibition. Wen-chao, Chang-jin, and Yun-xian did not hesitate to guide me, which allowed me to learn a lot of valuable experience. I am delighted that we worked hard and accomplished one thing together.
