Experiment § Measurement of surface resistance/volume resistance
The technical data uses the results obtained by the high resistance meter in accordance with ASTM D257 "Standard Test for DC Resistance or Conductance of Insulating Materials" (Figure1-3). The surface resistance represents the surface of the material with an area of 1cm2. The resistance to the leakage current of the electrodes on the opposite sides is in Ω (Figure4). The volume resistance represents a cubic centimeter of material, the resistance to the leakage current of the parallel electrodes on the upper and lower sides, the unit is Ω˙cm (Figure5). The surface resistance is easily changed by the surface condition of the sample. Measure the resistance to record the voltage used, the resistance may decrease when the temperature rises. At present, Everwide has purchased a temperature-controlled fixture, which can measure the resistance value from room temperature to 200°C, and can further understand the high-temperature characteristics of the material. The higher the resistance of the material, the better the insulation performance. Taking epoxy resin as an example, the volume resistance is often as high as 10 to 15-16 power. This kind of data can generally be recorded by orders of magnitude. The numbers in front of the orders of magnitude will not be stable. Due to limits of the instrument, the nature of the material and the environment, there is not much reference value.

Activity § R&D Seminar
R&D seminar is held once a month and is one of the most important activities of the company. In each meeting, five R&D took the stage to share their ongoing projects which include: 1. Problems faced in the case; 2. Conception of problem solving; 3. Practical verification of ideas; 4. Conclusion and experience. In addition to the colleagues who report on stage, the colleagues off the stage have to score and write comments on the contents of the report. Each speaker will publicly receive more than 30 such feedbacks, so that he/her has a basis for progress, and let everyone review together. The seminar lasted for more than 10 years, hoping that we could truly become a "learning organization."
Knowledge § Advantages of MS resin compared with RTV1 silicone resin
1. The main structure of MS resin is polyether resin, which has higher polarity than RTV1 silicone resin. For most metal and plastic materials, its adhesion is better than Silicone. 2. Most RTV1 Silicones on the market are deacidification or oxime removal. The reaction will release an unpleasant smell and even corrode the workpiece. A small part of RTV1 Silicone is dealcoholized, and the adhesion of these products is worse than that of deacidification and deoxime. MS resins are all dealcoholic types, which do not have an unpleasant smell and are not corrosive. 3.RTV1 Silicone has the suspicion of spitting out silicone oil. They will cause pollution of the workpiece, and will also attract dust in the air to cause dirt, which cannot be easily cleaned. MS resin does not have this doubt. 4. Because MS resin has a higher polarity than RTV1 Silicone, the coating can be evenly coated on the MS colloid, unlike RTV1 Silicone that cannot be uniformly coated by the coating.
Living § History of Everwide
My mom and uncles spent most of their lives in their factory in northern Taiwan. When they retired in 1997, this factory was taken over by my cousins. Later, we set up a new factory in Douliu. At that time, my father had not retired. Some of our brothers were in military service and some were still in school. During that time, my mom often went to Taipei to learn oil paintings and painted many "world famous paintings". Visitors thought these were masterpieces. My favorite one is the "Dragon Boating" photo of my mother who copied the Dragon Boat Festival on the calendar. She told me that the state of mind in drawing this picture, I hope everyone can work together for the new cause; the future of the factory is always broad. I often think about the name of our company: What does "Everwide Chemical Co., Ltd." mean. "Broad & Forever" It is the name taken by my uncle, and I regard it as what our elders have expected of us; "Chemistry" is the type of industry we are engaged in; "Limited Shares" represents my parents, who are betting their life savings on us. A "company" is an organization that a group of people jointly control and undertake. Only through considerable education and training can we gather consensus and have a coherent logic to achieve goal. This principle is the same as rowing a dragon boat. If you pull a group of people together, the dragon boat will overturn. From this perspective, all companies practice in the word "company". The closer they are to the true meaning of "company", the better the company will last.
