Experiment § Dielectric strength tester

Insulating Materials at Commercial Power Frequency." Experimental equipment such as (Figure 1,2). Put the specimen in the middle of the two electrodes (Figure 3), select a specific method to increase the voltage, such as: fast boost, slow boost, step-up boost... As the voltage increases, the material will suddenly conduct locally at a specific voltage, sometimes accompanied by flashing light (Figure 4, 5), this time is called material breakdown. A small hole is often seen at the location of the high-voltage breakdown, which is the trace of the material being destroyed and the charge running past (Figure 6). Dielectric strength is the maximum value of the electric field strength divided by the thickness of the material, the unit is kV/mm. The dielectric strength experiment can be divided into two kinds of direct current and alternating current. The former has a relatively high dielectric strength, which can be as high as 60-80 kV/mm in the case of epoxy resin. But as far as the application is concerned, the AC data is more in line with the actual situation. The molecules of the material will follow the changes of the electric field. The measured dielectric strength is relatively low, and the epoxy resin is about 20 kV/mm. The capacity of the equipment purchased by Everwide is 100,000 volts. AC and DC experiments can be performed, and the material properties will be better mastered.

Activity § Cultivation for Internal Auditor

The course outline: 1. Process methods and risk thinking audit skills 2. ISO9001 and IATF16949 provisions 3. Planning, execution, preparation of audit reports and methods of missing cases 4. Five core tools 5. Special customer requirements. During the discussion, everyone put forward their own opinions, and they also have the chance to review the content of the course again, and understand the problems and blind spots that will be encountered during practical application. In addition to meeting certain standards and passing exams, the attendance rate of audit training students also needs to participate in internal audits (Figures2and3) and output audit record forms. Learning from each other allows us to keep improving.

Knowledge § Where the name (MS Resin) comes from?

RTV1's silicone resin (RTV1 Silicone) main chain is composed of polydimethyl silane, using a hydrolyzable silane (Silane) at the end of the molecular chain for cross-linking reaction. The chain of Modified Silicone is polyether type and polyacrylic type. The molecular chain ends of MS resin are the same as RTV1's silicone resin, and use hydrolyzable silane for cross-linking reaction. Because the main chain is different and the reaction mechanism is the same, it is named MS resin. It is worth mentioning that the main chain is a polyurethane type (Polyurethane) with hydrolyzable silane at the end. The reaction is the same as MS resin, sometimes called STPU (Silane terminated polyurethane).

Living § My intern life in Everwide

My major in school is Business which is nothing to do with “chemistry”. When I first entered the company, I was inevitably nervous. While learning how to complete the work, I also observe the people here and everything around me. In each department, not only new colleagues are learning, but many colleagues beside them are also learning from each other. In addition, I feel the importance of teamwork and cooperation. Atmosphere here is pleasant and humanized when somebody makes mistakes, they will not blame each other but instead teach and remind them to point out where they need to pay more attention. In my point of view, Everwide is a team where employees and the company trust each other. I think this can elevate the loyalty of employees to the company. In addition to learning the skills in work, I also learned a lot of tips in interpersonal communication. Although Everwide is less connected with what I have learned in school, but I take this opportunity to dabble in cross-disciplinary knowledge, accumulate different experiences, have a broader mind and vision, and believe that it will help in the future.
