New Equipment § QUV Weathering Tester

Do you want to know how the test piece changes under different environmental conditions? Want to know what the weather resistance of the test piece is? In order to study the aging degree of the test piece in the outdoor environment, Everwide Chemical specially purchased a QUV weathering test machine. This machine is used to simulate the damaging effect of climate and is suitable for testing the durability of test pieces in an outdoor environment. This testing machine can be used to simulate the moisture absorption effect of the test piece under the condition of rain and dew, and it can also simulate the damaging effect of exposure to sunlight. The QUV weathering tester can produce damage and deterioration effects such as yellowing, fading, whitening, popping, cracking, fogging, blistering, tarnishing, gloss enhancement, and embrittlement in a short period of time. ※The lamp tube of the QUV weathering tester may cause severe sunburn on the human body or inflame the eyes. If you are not wearing UV-absorbing goggles, please do not look directly at the UV lamp tube in use.

Experiment § Yellowing Test

The purpose of this experiment is to test the degree of yellowing of the test piece exposed to sunlight to determine the effectiveness of the light stabilizer. The test piece was placed in a QUV weathering tester to simulate exposure to sunlight for 65 hours, and then the degree of yellowing of the test piece was tested. It can be clearly seen from the picture on the left that the experimental group turned yellow obviously after 65 hours of sunlight simulation ring test. Hold the test piece upright, and the obvious yellowing phenomenon on the surface of the illuminated surface can be clearly found from the side. Compared with the control group, the yellowing phenomenon of test piece D is less obvious, which shows that the light stabilizer contained in test piece D has the best effect, which can slightly inhibit the occurrence of the yellowing phenomenon.

Knowledge § What is the definition of Pot life?

Pot life just like his superficial meaning refers to a period of time in which the customer can use the resin. The definition of Pot life varies from case to case due to the way customers apply resin. The pot life of some resins refers to the use time when the resin viscosity is less than 10,000cps, and some pot life refers to the time when the resin viscosity is less than twice the initial value, and some confuse the definitions of pot life and gel time. Like gel time, pot life is not a very precise value. When recording the pot life, also record the ambient temperature and resin weight. In general, the higher the ambient temperature and the higher the resin weight, the shorter the pot life.

Product introduction § 9330

9330 is a light-curing resin specially developed for the fixation and adhesion of ABS, HIPS, PS, PC, PVC, acrylic, and other plastic materials. Under the irradiation of UV lamps, the resin reacts rapidly and can be integrated with the substrate, resulting in excellent adhesion strength. In many applications, the adhesive strength of 9330 after curing is even higher than the original material, and it is a very reliable photocurable resin.

Plant planning § Motivation for progress

In order to allow the colleagues of Everwide Chemical to effectively use the space of the manufacturing department of the first factory and reorganize the warehouse area, we moved the warehouse area originally set up in the manufacturing department of the first factory to the first floor of the second factory. After the relocation, not only the manufacturing department of the first factory has a wider space, but even the original disorganized warehouse has become tidier, which makes it easier for colleagues to find various items. Although it is only a small relocation, it is closely related to all levels, and it also represents the driving force of Everwide Chemical's continuous progress.

Living § Judgment Criteria for R&D Innovation (1)

1. Did you study some materials? Learning materials are the most basic requirements for R&D personnel, and the purpose is to ensure that R&D personnel maintains the professional and logic of chemistry. “Thinking without learning ends in danger.” If you want to develop and innovate, you need to learn data.

2. Whether to expand new information channels? In the age of information flooding, there are countless sources of information. Only by continuing to expand new information channels can we maintain the direction of R&D innovation.

3. Are new raw materials collected? Materials science is changing with each passing day, and breakthroughs in innovative technologies and the development of new products can only be accomplished by relying on new raw materials. Constantly trying the latest raw materials and seeking breakthrough product performance improvement is an important indicator of R&D innovation.

4. 4. Is new experimental equipment used? The two main points to master the product are the composition of raw materials and the processing steps. The innovation of processing steps often requires different experimental equipment to perform, through different principles, to meet different needs. The introduction of new experimental equipment can reflect the new research and development needs.

5. 5. Are you learning new instrument operations? If you can learn the operation of the instrument step by step, it will be of great help for the mastery of product properties and the establishment of quality control methods. Continuous learning of new instrument operations is one of the indicators of R&D innovation.
