Experiment § Repair part of sewer with resin
Many pipelines are buried under the ground. How can we repair them if we don't dug the road when it is damaged? Customers use our resin to complete this work. In order to repair a damaged sewage pipe quickly, because the user cannot stop discharging the sewage for a long time, we designed a resin that cures quickly. The viscosity of this formula is very low, so it can be mixed by hands at the construction site and coated on the fiberglass cloth (Figure 1). Then fold the fiberglass cloth to an appropriate size, wind it around and fix it on a cylindrical airbag, and then use a steel cable to drag the airbag to where the pipeline breaks (Figure 2-4). Inject the airbag with high-pressure air, so the outer fiberglass cloth will be tightly attached to the pipeline. After 2 hours, the resin cured and a new composite tube appeared in the place where the original old tube was damaged. Finally, pull the camera into the pipeline for inspection (Figure 5). The project was successfully concluded in a clean and fast way.

Activity § Fire and toxic/specific chemical substances drill
On September 28, Everwide cooperated with the Yunlin County Fire Department—Douliu unit to conduct a comprehensive drill of fire and chemical disaster for chemical plant. At that time, they dispatched 15 fire trucks, about 30 firefighters, about 30 employees from Everwide, 6 staffs from the service center of the industrial zone, 2 staffs from the sewage treatment plant, 4 staffs from the Central District Environmental Accident Professional Technical Group, and 2 polices from Douliu Police Station . There was a preview at 9 o'clock on the day of the event and a formal drill at 2:30 in the afternoon. The drill process was that Everwide first put out a fire by ourselves, and then external support units took over the follow-up treatment. Thanks to the leaders from all walks of life for guidance and let us learn a lot.
Knowledge § Compare Epoxy with PU (1)
In a certain situation, Epoxy and PU are competing materials, each with different characteristics. The comparison is as follows: 1. Hardness: Generally, Epoxy has higher hardness and PU has lower hardness. However, Epoxy can also be a soft system, PU also has a hard system, so there are many exceptions. 2. Flexibility: Under the same hardness, PU has better repeated flexibility (the ability to fold repeatedly) is better than Epoxy. 3. Weather resistance: Some weather-resistant PUs have a low yellowing rate under ultraviolet light. These systems have relatively good weather resistance, which is better than general Epoxy. 4. Adhesion: Epoxy has strong adhesion to metals and ceramics. The adhesion to plastic materials depends on the type of materials. Epoxy and PU have their own advantages and disadvantages. 5. Electrical properties: Epoxy is better than PU, especially in the field of higher voltage, the difference will be larger. 6. Chemical resistance: Whether it is acid resistance, alkali resistance or solvent resistance, Epoxy is generally better than PU.
Living § QBQ (The Question Behind The Question)
We face many problems every day, or we can say that the life of a person is composed of many problems. We often face problems with negative attitudes, thinking about why we encounter bad things and fall into the trap of "why". In such emotions, we will be dominated by the appearance of the problem, in the abyss under infinite pressure. QBQ (The Question Behind The Question) This book believes that this is a kind of victim's thinking. The problem behind the problem should be "be a responsible person" and take responsibility for your thoughts, behaviors, and consequences. QBQ emphasizes that change is not started by others, but by yourself. The book mentions that people are accustomed to shirk their problems and responsibilities to others, but it is actually a phenomenon in which they fear change. The question of "who, when, why" that appears in the mind for the first time is usually a wrong and meaningless question. This will only make us continue to be stubborn. The spirit of QBQ lies in "face the problem", "ask the right question", "show personal responsibility" and "take action" when the problem occurs, that is, "how", "I", and "action". In my own words, this is that we should focus on "what can I do." In the past, I also lacked responsibility for bearing mistakes and responsibilities, so I was often afraid to change my habits and satisfied with the existing state. I read this book during my summer internship in Everwide, which made me feel very much. Now I often think of QBQ, and often remind myself to make changes and take action, even if the result is not as expected, but it will make me grow. The most terrible thing is to try nothing, and stayed in the past. Another realization is that we may not necessarily be able to change others or the environment, so we must focus on what we can do, which is most helpful to solve the problem. This can turn yourself into a better and more influential person! This is a simple and fast-paced book, I believe you will like it.
