Experiment § Anti-fog film
The customer hopes that the PET film has an anti-fog effect. By sticking this film on the refrigerator's glass, you can see the food inside at a glance, and there is no need to repeatedly open and close the door to waste energy. The principle of anti-fog coating is to choose a hydrophilic polymer formula. When the water droplets are attached to it, the water droplet's angle is less than 10 degrees, which is almost flat on the coating surface, and there will be no foggy glossing. After referring to a large amount of data, we developed an anti-fog adhesive, coated it on the PET sheet, and covered it in hot water at 80°C for 2 minutes to test the anti-fog effect (Figures 1 and 2, respectively, without and with anti-fog coating PET). Next, soak the PET sheet in the water at room temperature to confirm whether the paint will peel off from the sheet. After our formula is made into an anti-fog film, it has excellent results in many reliability tests: high temperature and high humidity (60℃ x 90%RH x 500hr), thermal shock (-40~80℃ x 200hr), high temperature (85 ℃ x 500hr), soaking in water (50℃ x 24hr), low temperature (-40℃ x 500hr) and dust-free paper (load 300g, 10,000 times), etc., the life-time is more than half a year. The background of Figure 3 is the bathroom mirror; the blue frame is pasted with the typical anti-fog film on the market; the red frame is the Everwide anti-fog film. In contrast, the image in the red frame is more transparent, and the anti-fog effect is better. At present, our products are tested in some convenience stores. Perhaps soon, you will touch one more Everwide product every day.

Knowledge § What is an ideal solid? What is an ideal liquid?
Ideal solid refers to the completely elastic behavior of the solid. The mechanical energy input to the ideal solid will be completely stored and can be completely released in mechanical energy without loss. The closest example is a spring that moves following Hooke's law (Hookean solid): the stress is equal to the elastic coefficient times the strain. Ideal liquid refers to the completely viscous behavior of the liquid. The mechanical energy input to the ideal liquid will be completely consumed as heat energy due to internal friction during flow. The closest example is a liquid that moves according to Newton's laws (Newtonian Liquids): stress equals viscosity multiplied by strain rate.
Living § Taiwan lantern festival in Yunlin
The Lantern Festival is the last day of the New Year's Day activities. People are always used to eating rice dumplings, guessing lantern riddles, and carrying lanterns to admire the lantern festival. The Taiwan Lantern Festival has been held for 28 years and was praised by Discovery as the "Best Celebration Event in the World" in 2007. Every year, lanterns are designed with the theme of the Chinese zodiac of that year. Yunlin is the hometown of the Lantern Festival. The traditional electronic lanterns culture is still preserved in Beigang Town, Yunlin County, attracting many tourists every year. And this year, thanks to the efforts of the County Mayor of Yunlin, the Taiwan Lantern Festival was finally held in Yunlin. It covers 50 hectares with 3,000 lights, divided into two exhibition areas, Huwei and Beigang, which is the largest lantern festival in history. When the lantern festival was set up in early January, it already aroused everyone's curiosity. This year's Taiwan Lantern Festival was finally unveiled with eager expectations this year on the day of the Lantern Festival. The splendid Lantern Festival activities are dazzling and beautiful. The exhibition area is so big that you can't finish walking for three days. No matter at daytime or night, lanterns have different styles. The lanterns of this lantern festival also incorporate many local characteristics and specialties of Yunlin, which is fantastic. I hope that this beautiful traditional event will continue every year and bring us surprises and draw a perfect ending to the festival.
