Experiment § UV glue for glass thinning process
The topic of smartphones and tablets is always inseparable: how to improve performance? How to be lighter and thinner? Especially for the latter, the size of various components must be compared to meet the strict requirements. Take the panel's glass; the thickness has now dropped to about 0.2mm; how are they made? The cost of directly using thin glass is relatively high; at present, panel factories mostly send existing glass substrates to thinning factories for thinning. The glass thinning process is briefly described as follows: first, the two existing glass substrates (thickness 1mm, Figure 1) are aligned, and then UV glue is applied from the side of the glass to seal and fix the two pieces of glass (Figure 2 is a side view), Figure 3 is a top view). The fixed glass is etched and thinned with chemicals and then polished with a polishing liquid to make the surface of the glass substrate more uniform. Finally, it is coated and cut to obtain a panel glass as thin as a card (Figure 4, 5). (2) Dyeing in UV glue allows customers to inspect the manufacturing process easily. (3) It has a certain tolerance to acid and alkali and will not let the etching solution run into the sealed glass. (4) It has good adhesion to ultra-thin workpieces, and it is not easy to produce wrinkles and waves. (5) The colloid is easy to remove and will not damage the lines on the glass. Activity § Education and training of R&D department this year
The education and training of the R&D department have been around for 5 years. The early courses are more basic, such as resins, additives, etc., introducing other principles. Most of the handouts were compiled by my colleagues, and the lectures were videotaped, which became the teaching materials for the training of new recruits. After one paragraph of the introductory course, for a while, our classes are mainly based on the technical data and research reports of the raw material manufacturers; we hope that colleagues will be familiar with the application of raw materials and shorten the time for research and development. A considerable proportion of this year's courses are internal training or external training courses.
These external training courses are all published by experts at home and abroad in the seminar, and there are often over-the-top new ideas that surprise us. When we supplement after the internal training class, we can review some of the basic principles we have learned before. After so many years of education and training, we have discovered that learning is a series of different methods, repeating the process of understanding. What you don't understand in this course may be used by analogy in an unrelated example in the next class.
The only key to progress seems to be perseverance.
Knowledge § Can the data on the indirect intensity of different manufacturers be compared?
Many variables affect the strength of bonding. In the case of the attached test piece, the bonding strength obtained for different bonding areas is additional; even if it is divided by the bonding area, the unit bonding strength obtained will also have a significant difference. In a case where the width of the test piece is 25.4mm, the unit strengths of the length of 3mm and 25.4mm of the following area are 400 kg/cm2 and 350 kg/cm2, respectively. For the same bonding length, different test piece widths, the unit strength obtained by dividing by the bonding area is also different. The wider the width of the test piece, the lower the unit bonding strength. The aluminum sheet has different hardness and softness, and the adhesive sticks differently. It is often that the strength of the soft aluminum sheet is relatively low. The thickness of the test piece is also related; the thinner the thickness of the aluminum piece, the adhesive strength may be lower. Due to the existence of so many variables, it is impossible to compare which adhesive strength is better just by looking at the technical data of different manufacturers.

It is a wonderful experience! How many times in your life can you experience the constant cheering on the way and the team spirit of cheering each other?
