Experiment § Development of solvent-based UV hydrophilic coating
Everwide has developed stable mass production of UV coatings for diffusion films. In the application of diffusion film that can print characters and patterns, customers put forward new product requirements for resin: (1) It needs to be coated on a film with a thickness of 40μm, (2) It has a very high haze of 65% after hardening, ( 3) The surface needs to be hydrophilic and can be printed with water-based ink. During the development process, customers provide us with existing sheets for reference. We found that the product's characteristics are closely related to the size of the diffusion particles, the choice of solvent, and the composition of the formulation. Especially for UV-type coatings to achieve hydrophilicity, there are significant difficulties; it is necessary to start with the chemical structure and choose special raw materials. From the initial surface tension of 36 dynes (Figure 1), it was further modified to 42 dynes (Figure 2) and finally reached 68 dynes (Figure 2); it can also take into account the high haze (Figure 3); breakthroughs at each stage come from disruptive thinking. Product on-board testing is another difficult hurdle, and we have been stagnant here for a long time. After more than two months of hard work and attempts, we have accurately mastered the speed, temperature, and UV energy of the machine in the process, and the product has finally reached the customer's requirements and smoothly produced! Throughout the experiment, I realized that R&D couldn't just sit in the lab and have a chance to learn about it on the customer's production line; only by confirming the best formula and process parameters before mass production can we make a more suitable product that meets customer needs; products to achieve a win-win situation.

Activity § Two or Three Things at Year-end
The end of the year is always the busiest time. One day, there was a "touch!" inside the transformer box, and we were out of power for nearly two hours. Later, the reason was found out: the mouse accidentally touched the fuse, electrocuted on it, and there was a faint smell of burning. Since that day, the factory has launched hunting operations, and all the rats caught are IS; readers are also asked to pay attention to the hazards of rats (Figure 1. Note: IS is based on ISIS). The annual tail tooth was held that evening. Although we didn't drink and did not invite celebrities to stand, the atmosphere was still very high because of the prize draw (pictures 2, 3). The company donated 100,000 yuan to the World Peace Society's "Rescue Children from Starvation" activity. According to the association's registration, there are 77 hungry children in Yunlin County who have no money to eat breakfast, each with a breakfast budget of 40 yuan. We cannot forget them when we are full of food and drink. At the end of the year, the company will give gifts to colleagues as usual. This year's gift is Duanmu shiitake mushrooms (Figure 4, planted by the Gaoshi tribe of the Paiwan ethnic group in Mudan Township, Pingtung County). This shiitake mushroom is planted on the branches of chestnut trees and dried in the sun after harvest. Since only the branches are not cut off the trunk, and the whole tree is not cut down, it is an ecologically friendly shiitake mushroom; the disadvantages of this approach are the low yield and the high price, which is inferior to the cheap imported products on the market. However, good ideas should not be valued by money, should they?
Knowledge § What are the reasons for the spitting of oil and frost on the rubber surface?
The composition of rubber is quite complex, including vulcanizing agents, vulcanizing accelerators, antioxidants, etc. Some of these ingredients are not entirely compatible with rubber and will spread to the rubber surface over time. The liquid component will give the feeling of oily, and the solid component will look like a white powdery substance. When this phenomenon occurs in rubber, cleaning the surface of the rubber will not solve this problem forever, and it will reappear after a while. To avoid this phenomenon, we must start with the source formula design. After the rubber spits oil and frost, it will emit a peculiar smell, which will cause difficulty in subsequent follow-up, contaminate surrounding components, and may also cause cracks in plastic components. This phenomenon must be paid attention to when applying rubber and plastic materials.
Living § Kind paparazzi
Occupational Safety and Health has been in the company for two years! From the introduction to the support and cooperation obtained today, it results from the hard work of many colleagues. In terms of wearing protective equipment, the original intention is to protect colleagues' health and let everyone work in a safe environment. When it was first implemented, everyone could not adapt to the inconvenience and discomfort caused by the protective equipment, so non-compliance often occurred. To implement the requirements, several of our colleagues who have received labor safety management training formed an audit team to patrol the factory every day and take photos for records and announce the number of persons who violated the regulations every month. The top three colleagues in violation of the rules will be punished, and the departments that do not violate the rules will be rewarded. Because of this, the audit team became the "paparazzi" in the eyes of colleagues, and I became the "paparazzi." Whenever I show up, my sensitive colleague will ask: Is it necessary to take photos for inspection? They will also inform each other and put on protective gear quickly. Colleagues are under the pressure of "I am so good to you, why did you shoot me", and some people will ask who did it this week? Who's the problem next week.
When this situation first started, I was quite frustrated and speechless. Later, I gradually got used to it, and I always answered with a smile: As long as you wear protective equipment correctly, you won't be on the list! Persevering over this period, the proportion of colleagues has continued to increase; some colleagues have told us hard, and some colleagues affirmed our intentions; these changes made me very happy. A while ago, public opinion criticized the paparazzi in the media, saying that they undermined the social atmosphere and engaged in fishy "two-body" news: nudes and corpses.
