Experimental § Adhesive for optical passive components

Optical fiber to transmit signals has the advantages of low cost, high-frequency bandwidth, and good reliability. A few years ago, the advertisements advertised the "Generation of Light," which suffices to illustrate the current state of optical fiber communications. Optical fiber communication is composed of optically active components (transmitting, receiving, and amplifying light sources), optical fibers (transmitting optical signals, Figure 1), and passive optical components (responsible for connection, modulation, isolation, coupling). Many adhesives are used in the passive optical components, such as the optical fiber connector (Figure 2) that connects the optical fiber, which is a product that is combined with glue. Everwide cooperates with well-known manufacturers to develop related products of the same grade, among which the JB267 series is the most widely used. This AB series can be used for a long time after mixing, it is easy to penetrate the optical fiber, and it cures fast when heated. The hardened material has high-temperature resistance, low outgassing, and high reliability. Especially when curing, the resin will change from light yellow to amber, which is convenient for production personnel to make preliminary identification (Figure 3). Please don't neglect this tiny drop of adhesive; it's Everwide that will always stick to the world!

Activity § Spring god is here - How do you know?

The Spring God brings a warm breath and also gives the earth vigorous vitality. In the garden, on the top of the tree, it always brings us a lot of surprises among the bushes. A hundred flowers bloom, swaying. Butterflies and bees whirling and dancing, this is the joy of spring. The Everwide garden has always been a popular resting place for friends of all ages, and the different appearance throughout the year is even more impressive. Thanks to the gardeners for their complicated maintenance, let us always admire the beautiful flowers in different seasons. If you are also curious about the beauty of our gardens, you might as well take your time to take a trip to Everwide to ensure you will be pleasantly surprised!

Knowledge § Why is silicone poisoned by catalysts?

The silicone that hardens at room temperature can be divided into condensation and addition types. Condensed silicones rely on moisture to carry out the hardening reaction, and most of them are one-component types. This kind of silicone is relatively free from catalyst poisoning. The risk of catalyst poisoning is the addition of molding silicone; the platinum catalyst used in it will be affected by phosphorus, sulfur, amines, and heavy metals, and other effects, resulting in incomplete hardening or even no reaction at all. The room-temperature-curing addition molding silicone is a two-component system, so it is easy to distinguish; however, some room-temperature-curing condensation-type silicones can also be made into a two-component type. In other words, the single-component silicone that hardens at room temperature will not have the problem of catalyst poisoning, and the two-component silicone that sets at room temperature may have the problem of catalyst poisoning.

Living § The experience of The air pollution specialists

The company has an activated carbon adsorption device to prevent pollutants from escaping into the air. The prevention and control equipment needs to be operated by qualified professionals; the previous qualified person in charge of air pollution prevention and control in the company was Senior Ye-xu, Li, who has a Class A air pollution license. To avoid the absence of seniors on business trips and no one can deal with related issues, the company encourages two other colleagues and me to sign up for air pollution external training courses and take the license exam. The content of the class includes air pollution prevention and control regulations, fixed pollution source permit declaration practices, particulate pollutant prevention and control, gaseous pollutant prevention and control, air quality and pollution prevention and control, etc. because I am not a graduate of a relevant department, I am entirely unfamiliar with the content of the class; I can only copy the key points as much as possible, take notes frequently, and try to understand what the professor explains. If you still don't understand, discuss with colleagues after class or go to the library to search for materials on your own. because it has been a while since graduation, preparing for the exam is not smooth; it may also be due to the tiredness of going to work, and I often study and fall asleep at night. The study efficiency was very low, and the progress was seriously behind; in the end, I had to force myself to study for two hours a day, draw up an exam preparation plan, go to the library to read books on holidays, and slowly read every textbook. After more than two months of full sprinting, three of my colleagues who participated in the training simultaneously and I passed the exam and obtained the B-level air pollution license! While I was excited about obtaining the license, I feel that I have more responsibility and have more ideas about environmental protection: while people are manufacturing and producing, they should think about the damage caused by waste gas and wastewater to the environment is challenging to repair, we shouldn't destroy the living space for future generations because of one's self-interest.
