Equipement § Dielectric Analyzer

The basic principle of DEA Dielectric Analyzer:

Most of the polymer substances are generally poor conductors of electricity. However, under the influence of an external electric field, the ionic impurities in the polymer or the dipole moment (polar group) on the polymer bond can begin to orientate. This alignment enables the polymer to produce a tiny capacitance electrode conductivity. By detecting the capacitance and conductance of the polymer in the electric field, we can understand the arrangement of the dipole moment of the polymer at different temperatures and frequencies and then know the molecular motion and viscosity changes (the left picture is DEA2970 Dielectric Analyzer—TA Instruments).

Safety § Protective equipment

In order to protect the health of all colleagues, the company provides personal protective equipment for everyone to use so that everyone can avoid contact with harmful factors and eliminate or minimize any harm. The picture on the left is a half-face protective mask. When to use it: When working with organic solvents or using hazardous materials, protective equipment should be used for materials that generate volatile gases. The picture on the right is a commonly activated carbon dust mask, the timing of use: when engaging in dust-producing operations.

Long-term exposure to high concentrations of organic solvents (such as toluene, carbon disulfide, n-hexane, n-butanone, trichloroethylene) will cause symptoms of the central nervous system. The more common symptoms include excitement, dizziness, Headache, nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, coma, and even comorbidities of shock with lower blood pressure. In addition, it may also cause mental, behavioral, and psychological abnormalities, and even "Parkinson's syndrome" and "cerebellar lesions," resulting in motor balance disorders. In mild cases, symptoms of "peripheral neuropathy" with numbness of limbs, paresthesia, general weakness, and loss of nerve reflexes appear. Certain organic solvents containing chlorides can lead to sudden arrhythmia, which can cause complications such as palpitations, dizziness, coma, and even death. In addition, in clinical experience, it has been confirmed that "toluene" in organic solvents can cause renal tubular disease, "benzene" can cause bone marrow hematopoietic dysfunction and even "blood cancer," "glycol ether" can cause hemolytic anemia, "chloroethene" is associated with the formation of "hepatic angiosarcoma." To maintain your health and keep away from harm, all colleagues are requested to abide by protective equipment guidelines.

Knowledge § How to measure thermal conductivity?

The testing instrument used by our company is QuickLine-10, produced by Anter Corporation of the United States. It measures thermal conductivity according to ASTM E1530. Between polished metal surfaces. The metal contact plane in the lower half is part of the heat flow sensor, and a vertical temperature gradient exists in the system mentioned above as heat flows from the upper half-plane through the sample to the lower half-plane. By measuring the thickness of the sample, the temperature difference across the sample, and the heat flux detected by the heat flow sensor, the sample's thermal conductivity is determined.

Product § GA211-2

GA211-2 is a low viscosity light hardening resin. This product has the characteristics of fast curing, low shrinkage, and softness. Good surface dryness is suitable for temporary fixation in the cell section process of glass substrates, which can achieve precise positioning and not cause displacement in the hot baking and cutting section. It has a good bonding effect for inorganic materials and ultra-thin workpieces, is not easy to produce wrinkles and wavy lines, and has good rework characteristics.

Activity § Table tennis game

In order to promote sports and promote employee exchanges, Everwide Chemical specially held a men's and women's table tennis game in April. Who is the final winner? Stay tuned!

Living § Impressions on Nano-grinding Equipment

After listening to the introduction of nano equipment, the key is very simple:

1. Milling nanometers is not a bottleneck on the equipment; the focus is on dispersion skills. 2. The dispersion technique should be completed by chemical means, where the dispersion know-how is located. 3. After the dispersion is completed, it is necessary to prevent agglomeration. The agglomeration will cause poor storage and reduce the effect.

Buying a million-dollar device is very simple, and it is just a sum of money. But to make it works, it is necessary to embrace the grinder enthusiastically every day, plus countless times to grind out bean curd-like waste, plus constant plugging and crash. The stability is constantly tested, and then there is the opportunity for success.

It is not entirely unreasonable that the nanometer has become the dominant science of this century. However, many banners with nanometers claim to have different effects, which can easily turn the halo of nanometers into a gimmick flooded with disasters. Nanometers are used in the field of materials and contribute to increasing hardness, UV resistance, and flame resistance. Also, because of nanotechnology, the imagination of many applications is added.
