Experiment § Solvent-free releasable glossy gold foil

The general structure of roll labeling paper is from top to bottom: gold oil, ink, surface material, back ing-PSA, and releasepaper(Figure. 1). In order to respond to the customer'sdemand for environmental protection and cost reduction, we remove the release paper and turn it into a 4-layer structure. However, with a 4-layer structure, the adhesive backing will stick directly to the gold foil coating during roll film storage. For this reason, it was necessary to develop a "Solvent-Free Releaseable Glossy Gold Oil (GC396 Series)". Its functions should have good protection, such as oil resistance, water resistance, scratch resistance, stain resistance, etc., and the coating also needs to have good peel characteristics with the adhesive backing (Figure 2). The series is coated on the material and cured quickly by UV light. In addition to reducing the emission of VOCs, it has excellent adhesion to OPP paper and ink, a bright coating surface (Figure. 3), a droplet angle of about 100 degrees, fingerprint resistance, scratch resistance, solvent resistance, etc., Good release results can be achieved without fluorine-containing materials. According to the FTM10 test method, the 180° release force of the coating is less than 20 g/in. Activity § Greenhouse gas inventory

This year, Everwide actively expanded the scope of its greenhouse gas inventory and applied for the government's mentoring program, inviting professional instructors to conduct on-site inspections (Figure 1) to provide professional advice on carbon reduction. Include inspecting and improving pipelines, dealing with leaks and air leaks, or replacing old equipment. In addition, a pre-trip meeting for the greenhouse inventory was held, and the plant was divided into zones and assigned to the responsible employees to identify and document the greenhouse sources and quantify the collected data (Figure 2~4). To collect relevant data on an ongoing basis to determine the progress of and time required for the implementation of carbon reduction measures. The ultimate goal is to reduce the company's overall carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency. This requires the participation and collaboration of all employees, let us work together to gradually realize the company's low-carbon goals.


Knowledge § What is water-hardness inorganic adhesive? (2)

There are three stages in the cement hardening mechanism. The first stage: the surface of cement particles begins a hydration reaction, and a small amount of product is generated and immediately dissolves into the surrounding water. The particles expose a new surface and repeat the above steps. When the aqueous solution dissolved into the product reaches saturation, the solution turns into a gel and begins to coagulate. The second stage: the cement particles strongly absorb water and fragment. The hydration reaction rearranges the particle lattice and causes internal stress to cause fragmentation. Both of these effects will accelerate the first stage. The third stage: the gel gradually turns into crystals, and the cement strength slowly increases. In fact, the three stages are carried out at the same time, so without "maintenance", the speed of the first and second stages will become slower and slower, eventually leading to the stagnation of the third stage, and the intensity cannot continue to increase.


Living § Science Fair

In the first half of this year, Everwide and Douliu High School's Math and Science Experimental Class jointly organized two science fairs in Xinchu and Yunlin. The "Women's Science Festival Science Experience" and the "Yunlin Go Science and Technology Creativity Carnival". The theme of the booth was "Thor of Thunder ~ Franklin Kite Experiment". In addition to letting guests experience the static electricity generated by fur rubbing against a plastic stick, there were also pearl milk tea cups and aluminum foil to create a simple "Leyton Bottle". The electric charge generated by the friction is stored in the Leyden bottle, and then the tip of the mouth of the Leyden bottle is gently touched with the back of the hand, and the electric current can be felt flowing through the body instantaneously. From everyone's exaggerated

expressions, we know that the power of Leyden bottle power storage is not trivial! Another representative current experience in a series of activities is the "Faraday cage". The principle is to turn the Wechsler starter so that the metal balls at both ends are electrified, and then wrap a finger with aluminum foil, put it in the middle of the two small balls (without touching the two small balls), first feel the current intensity, and then remove the aluminum foil. Repeating the above actions, you can clearly feel the second experiment, the intensity of the current flowing into the body increases, and the same is true for hiding in the car to avoid lightning strikes when thundering.
