Sometimes the humidity in the air is low, or the thickness of the application is relatively thick, the reaction of the single-liquid moisture-curing resin such as silicone and MS resin are very time-consuming. At this time, you can consider designing the formula as a two-liquid type: place the resin in A, and place the other ingredients and moisture in B, so that AB mixing will quickly harden. The moisture-hardening resin with the same formula is designed into a single-liquid type and a double-liquid type. Under the environment of high temperature and high humidity and thin layer, the reaction rate of the two is similar; when the application is low humidity and the thickness is 1mm, the single-liquid type is almost When not reacting, the two-liquid type has hardened (Figure 1,2). Even if it is as thin as 10um, it takes 25-50 minutes to harden in a single liquid, and 15 minutes in a double liquid. As saying that, however, there are many variables to consider for double fluids. Take FS178 as an example: when it is mixed, it is transparent, and the white fog is opaque after hardening, which is related to the design of the reinforcement mechanism (Figure 3). However, whether it is a single liquid or two liquids, because the reaction of resin and moisture will release methanol, a lot of bubbles will appear in thicker applications, so it is not suitable for infusion materials (Figure 4).

Reactive diluent means that the diluent has functional groups and will react with the hardener to become part of the resin structure. The functional groups of reactive diluents are most commonly epoxy groups, which can be divided into mono-functional groups and multi-functional groups by the number of functional groups; they can also be divided into aromatic and aliphatic groups by the structure of substituents. The monofunctional diluent is cheaper and has a better dilution effect, but it becomes a chain end in the hardened structure, which is a kind of defect, which will slow down the reaction of the resin, strength, Tg, solvent resistance...etc. . With the same number of functional groups, the diluent of aromatic substituents usually has better reaction speed, strength, Tg, solvent resistance, etc. than aliphatic substituents. No matter what kind of structure, the chlorine content is much higher than the general resin. Some diluents have products with low chlorine content, but they are quite expensive; some products without low chlorine structure have to be considered in formula selection.

The famous "Qilai" which is on the list of” One Hundred Peaks” in Taiwan has a magnificent view of the mountains. The itinerary on the first day was the most exhausting. End the journey of about 23 kilometers safely, thanks to the good weather given by the mountain god, let us see the magnificent beauty of Qilai. Mountaineers love mountaineering and have their own purposes. For me, the most important thing is to face the challenges of the unknown and self-breakthrough, but what will be the next unknown challenge?
